A quick look at the Points of Interest
  • Old Las Vegas Sign: The historical location of the first Mormon Fort in the Valley.
    Railroad Pass
  • The Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino, This is the first casino built in Nevada. It was here in the 1930's during the construction of the "Hoover Dam" that all the workers went for entertainment, gambling and fine food. Boulder City was located on Federal land and, at this time, no gambling or drinking was allowed.

  • Boulder City: Boulder city is on the National Register for Historical Sites. This is the only city in Nevada which still does not allow gambling.

  • Lake Mead: One of the largest man made lakes in the United States with over 550 miles of shore line.

    Hoover Dam
  • Hoover Dam: This is also commonly referred to as Boulder Dam and was built between 1931 and 1935. Enough cement was used in its construction to build a 2-lane highway from Los Angeles to New York City. Unfortunately 96 men lost their lives in the construction of the dam.

  • Laughlin: Located on the Nevada side of the Colorado River across from Bullhead City, Arizona. Laughlin was founded by Don Laughlin who built the first major Hotel/Casino there named: Riverside Hotel/Casino. He also paid for construction of the bridge which connects both sides of the river.

  • CAL-NEV-ARI: Named after the 3 states of California, Nevada and Arizona

  • Searchlight, Nevada: Searchlight is a gold and silver mining community of the past. Today, there is a large gold mine 7 miles west of town.
